A Life That Feels Like Mine

There is something beautiful about feeling like yourself again after what feels like such a long time. About laughing from your soul, smiling from your heart, and sleeping well at night without carrying the weight of things that were never meant to be yours forever.

I have missed this version of myself. The woman who laughs freely, finds joy in the little things, and feels light enough to dream again. The woman who is finally living, not just getting through life.

And I know I did not get here alone.

I am held by the love of my family, guided by God, and strengthened by a resilience that carried me through seasons I once wondered how I would survive. There were lessons in the difficult days, growth in the uncomfortable moments, and a quiet kind of strength that revealed itself when I needed it most.

I honour the woman I was when life felt heavier. I honour the courage it took to keep going, the things I had to unlearn, and the grace that allowed me to soften again.

Today, I am not just interested in surviving. I want to live. Fully, intentionally, and in a way that feels true to who I am.

I want a life that feels as beautiful on the inside as it looks from the outside. A happy household. A beautiful marriage rooted in love, friendship, respect and mutual growth. Healthy children. Abundance that allows us to live well and give generously. A progressive home where everyone is encouraged to grow, where laughter fills the rooms, and where love is something we experience in our everyday lives.

I want a life I do not have to constantly recover from. A home that feels safe. A love that feels honest. Success that does not cost me myself. Joy that does not come with the fear of losing it. And the freedom to be fully who I am without shrinking, explaining or abandoning myself to make room for what was never meant for me.

Because I know what I want, I am becoming more intentional about what I allow to remain in my life.

I release everything that has no place in the life I am building. Anything that diminishes my joy, compromises my values or requires me to betray myself to keep it. I release the need to hold on simply because something is familiar. Not everything I have known is meant to accompany me into everything I am becoming.

Not everything deserves a place in my future.

There is freedom in understanding that you can appreciate a chapter without needing to reopen it. You can forgive without returning. You can love people and still recognise when your paths no longer align. You can honour your past without allowing it to dictate your future.

And you can choose yourself without becoming hard.

That is the kind of woman I want to be: soft enough to love, wise enough to discern, courageous enough to begin again, and grounded enough to protect the life I am creating.

I believe in success, joy, love, peace, unlearning and expansion. I believe life can become beautiful in ways we could not have imagined during our hardest seasons. I believe we can outgrow old versions of ourselves without resenting who we once were. And I believe we are allowed to desire more, dream bigger, and build lives that reflect the fullness of who we are.

I am learning to hold my dreams with intention, not desperation. To work towards them without losing the ability to enjoy the present. To trust God’s guidance while doing my part. To remain open to growth while being protective of the life I am building.

I do not need to have every detail figured out today. I only need to remain honest about the life I want, intentional about the choices I make, and brave enough to walk away from anything that asks me to settle for a life that no longer fits.

For now, I am grateful for the laughter. The deep sleep. The quiet mornings. The genuine smiles. The feeling of being present in my own life again.

I am grateful to experience joy without questioning whether I deserve it, to rest without guilt, and to look towards the future with hope.

I am grateful to be here, becoming, unlearning, expanding and returning to myself.

This time, I want to build a life that feels like home.

And I intend to be fully present for every beautiful part of it.

Love and Light,

Umi.

Returning to Alignment

Loving the Divine means loving all of the Divine’s creations. It is impossible to truly declare devotion while dishonoring the souls that walk this earth each on their own sacred journey. The Divine is woven through everything: in every person, every living being, every moment of grace. To love the Divine is also to love yourself. Self-love is not selfish; it is sacred. It means honoring your soul, living by your values, and aligning your life with who you truly are. This alignment is the bridge between your inner world and the Divine’s truth. My own path has been one of constant learning and unlearning of resetting myself from the inside out. Along this journey, so much has been illuminated that I can no longer ignore. I see now how often I gave my light away to those who did not honor it those whose values did not reflect mine. Those who prioritized their desires on this physical realm over my soul. I offered my spirit where there was only manipulation and deceit. I did all that in t...

Spiritual Sovereignty: The Responsibility of Protecting Your Divine Light

There comes a point in the spiritual journey when you realize that your inner world is sacred ground. Your peace, your clarity, your connection to the Creator, these are not things to be poured out carelessly or  sacrificed to those who neither value nor understand the cost of such light. Spiritual sovereignty  is the sacred act of protecting your spiritual wealth. It is not about being selfish, guarded, or superior. Rather, it is the deep recognition that your energy, your wisdom, your time, and your presence are divine resources. They must be honored, not exploited. Shared with discernment, not scattered into the wrong hands, especially not into hands that are greedy for material gain but have no reverence for the soul. You were never created to be drained for the comfort of others or to shine where your light is mocked, used, or misunderstood. To continue pouring into people or environments that do not seek to grow, heal, or transform is not  compassion , it is  i...

Duality vs Oneness

In many mystical traditions, God is seen as the One Source of all that exists. From this perspective, nothing stands outside the Divine, not even the shadows we fear. Both light and dark, joy and pain, are contained within the infinite mystery of God. Yet in faith traditions like Christianity and Islam, the devil is understood differently, not as God, but as a creation of God. The devil becomes the symbol of separation , the willful turning away from unity, love, and truth.  Where God is perfection and pure goodness, evil arises not from the Source but from distorted will, pride, and rebellion against divine alignment. Beyond the Image of Horns and Fire, The devil is not a creature with horns, a fiery tail, and glowing yellow eyes. It is not merely an external monster lurking in shadows. Instead, it represents the energy of separation, the distortion of truth, the rejection of compassion , the misuse of divine gifts . The devil is rebellion against unity, whether it shows up in i...
